Which website do travel agents use to find international fares?

the major ones are travelcity and orbitz but is there a secret site that travel agents use? because travel agencies usually find lower fares than those available on Orbitz or Travel City

Well like the others said we, the travel agents, use different Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo, etc to find airfares... even ppl working with Travelocity use Sabre for finding fares....

Travel agents don't use websites. The websites are other travel agents. Why would a travel agent buy their tickets from another travel agent to resell to their customers when they can get them directly from airline stock.

Travel agents use internet-based software -- it is not a web site but a software program that can read the airline inventory as long as there is an Internet connection. There's several different programs; most travel agents use more than one because different airlines use different systems on the back end. Some examples: Sabre, Shares, Itin and Apollo.

Worldspan, Sabre, and Amadeus are the big 3. Because of subscription fees, and sales incentives, most agencies stick with one. This is just one reason why travel agencies do NOT always find the best fares, and when you add their $25 or higher fee for booking you a ticket, you're better off booking simple airfares yourself. http://www.bookingbuddy.com is very good.

They have a computer program that they use - they don't use websites (although some may use them to compare). I think Sabre is one of the programs for travel agents.
