Orbitz travel company?

i just want to say to anyone that has ever used orbitz and that has not been pleased with the service online or over the phone that i am sorry. I worked for orbitz and cheaptickets last year for a year, and i was the one customers would call in to book a flight or hotel reservation or even a whole package, i know that some ppl dont like it or dont like the service theyve gotten and for that i am sorry. i booked alot of reservations for many many people and had fun doing it too, i liked talking and connecting with the customers... but what was your experience like with orbitz or cheaptickets?

I work at a hotel. I have guests everyday that book through orbitz, expedia, travelocity, & they accidentally book for the wrong dates, or the wrong kind of rooms (smoking when they really wanted non smoking) when we are are full, there is nothing we can do & on plenty of occasions ive had guests call the companies & there is nothing they can do it about it. It is always best to book directly through the company or hotel. I had one lady that booked through orbitz for a room and she showed me that she paid $100 bucks, we had the room through our hotel for 70 bucks & thats with tax. The lady tried to call and cancel her reservation & they told her no. She said people hung up on her, and said there was nothing they could do. I have never used a third party to book any of my vacations i always book directly, because i work at a hotel and see all of the problems that come along with booking through the other sites.
