If anyone can help? Is Orbitz legit? Since Im 17 years old do I have to travel with and Adult?

Because when i went to orbitz It said something about an adult ticket? Im traveling with my 14 year old brother and 11 year old sister, any problems with that? Im going to mexico So ive never been on a plane so i dont know whats the deal.. Should i order from orbitz? Thank you so much for youre help and wisdom

pleeease dont book thru orbitz! they have no idea of what they're doing, believe me, I'm a mexicana airlines phone representative and we always have to deal with their problems.

anyways, it might depend on your airline, but usually if you're older than 12, then you are allowed to travel alone or accompanied by a minor without an adult's permission letter.

hope it helps :]

Since you are traveling to Mexico and you are not yet 18 years of age yourself, you cannot be legally responsible for your younger siblings. Firstly, all three of you will need a notarized letter of consent from your parents allowing you to travel without them. Second, your siblings will have to travel as "unaccompanied minors" and an adult over the age of 18 who your parents designate will need to show ID and sign for them at the airport. Since they will need to travel as "UMs" it is far better to make your arrangements directly with the airline since they will need to enter additional information such as the name and telephone number of who is authorized to sign for them in Mexico, etc. There is an additional charge for this service and typically it is paid at checkin. Do all three of you have passports? If not, you will need them and current processing times for passports is about 10 weeks.
