Bad experience with Orbitz travel?

Just came back from vacation and I used Orbitz to book my trip. I was by far the worst experience with a travel site ever. They booked me at the wrong resort and I was charged a higher rate, on the plane they gave every member of my family ( two of which are small children) all seperate seating away from each other.

By far I would never recomend anyone using them. They were useless in resolving any problems. If you want a great trip avoid Orbitz.

If anyone else has had a bad experience I would love to hear it.

I booked a hotel reservation with Orbitzfor my trip to Las Vegas. The rates were good, normal, what I would expect for that type of hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel, they told me that they would not honor my reservation because it was for a much cheaper rate than what they charge. In other words, Orbitz sold me a rate that did not exist and the hotel (understandably) was not willing to honor it.

I contacted Orbitz and had to go through a 3 hour ordeal before they and the hotel came to an agreement. I finally was able to stay at that hotel, pay the price that Orbitz had originally offered, and Orbitz took care of the difference.

Even though the problem was solved, it was very stressful. Plus that kind of incident makes me doubt Orbitz reputation.
