What's better: travel agency or travel websites for a trip to Paris?

I'm going to Paris for spring break and I wanted to know if I could get a better deal at a travel site like orbitz.com or hotel.com or if I should just try a local travel agency. I'm a little paranoid they would rip me off. I'm starting from TX so its not as if I have lots of choices. Thanks!

Online travel agency is probably cheaper, but you'll get better customer service from the local person.
